Casa Joanne is a romantic, three-story penthouse located in Conchas Chinas, Puerto Vallarta's most exclusive neighborhood, five minutes south of town.
This unique 5,000 sq. ft. property is exquisitely furnished with wonderful examples of Mexican fine art and features dramatic, unobstructed views of the bay from every room and terrace.
Each of the four totally private and spacious, air-conditioned master suites have views and romantic ambiance in abundance. Three have king size beds and the fourth (with the most expansive vista and fanciful bathroom) is a private office with a queen size sofa bed ideal for a teenager or single adult.
Each elegant bathroom offers the opportunity to indulge the fantasy of showering with a view of the sea.
The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to the outdoors on the ocean side of the house, which blurs the distinction between the indoors and outdoors.
Two of the four large and inviting terraces lead the eye to where the heated infinity pool blends seamlessly with the sparkling water of the bay below, the perfect place to savor a fine chardonnay and to watch Vallarta's famous sunsets.
Casa Joanne comes staffed with a maid and gardener. A cook and/or driver and houseman can be added to the staff for an additional fee.
It features a heated infinity pool, a Jacuzzi in the master suite, a professionally equipped kitchen, purified drinking water, telephone, fax, computer hook-up, stereo, and direct TV.
Because of its ideal location 'Penthouse Joanne' is constantly bathed by gentle breezes which add a sensual pleasure to the warm sunny days and starlit nights around the pool and patio. The gentle sound of falling water comes from two charming fountains which grace the dining area and the private terrace off the master bedroom.
I was a bit leary of a house is described as a penthouse and not a private villa (our speciality). You would not notice the other apartments, which are more like villas, unless you swam to the edge of the pool and looked immediately below. The villa has a certain charm that is lost in so many vacation rentals. I would highly recommend this villa.

I agree that you have to see this place to truly appreciate how great it is. We haven't stayed in Puerto Vallarta before, and haven't been in other villas, but we were blown away by the view, the architecture and design, and the small high-end touches compared to hotels and timeshares we have been in before. Fresh flowers were brought in during our stay (birds of paradise, etc.). All of the staff are very nice. It is easy to get into town by taxi to a bunch of great restaurants, shops, etc. We will be back!
